veronica-music
Sound Engineer, Music Producer and Researcher.
Hi! My name is Verônica, I am proudly born and raised in São Paulo, Brasil, in a half Brazilian - half Greek family. My artistic practice and research lies where music and technology overlap.
I graduated in Electrical Engineering at UNICAMP (Campinas, Brasil) and also did my Masters there where I researched AI applications to music mixing. Parallel to that, I worked for 3 years as a Data Scientist, developing AI models for a big tech company. In 2025 I received my Masters in Music Production, Technology and Innovation with honors at Berklee College of Music, also winning the Peer Recognition Award and the Outstanding Scholar Award. My later thesis, under the advisory of Marta Verde, consisted in a synthesizer combining granular synthesis and a custom trained RAVE model on samples of Brazilian percussion.
Aside my technology and academic pursuits, music is a passion I have been pursuing for the past 10 years. I worked as a mixing and recording assistant for a variety of artists (Lady Gaga, Pabllo Vittar, Jão, Ivete Sangalo, Criolo and more). Since 2017 I also have been DJing and releasing my own music, as well as remixing for other artists under my nickname veronicat. Checkout some of my stuff bellow!
